Our client holds a prominent position in the European utilities sector, dedicated to seamlessly connecting people and businesses with energy and providing customer-centric solutions designed for sustainability.

The company develops cloud-based, state-of-the-art software applications in various areas - IoT/ IIoT, energy management & trading, predictive maintenance.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and develop data-driven solutions. 
  • Lead activities across the end-to-end project lifecycle, including scope definition, solution design, delivery, and implementation. 
  • Develop analytical and machine learning solutions capable of scaling across multiple business environments. 
  • Present insights, recommendations, and project outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Promote collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team, including mentoring less experienced colleagues. 
  • Influence decision-making by proposing new approaches and championing data-led improvements.

Must-haves

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or a related discipline. 
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in Data Science. 
  • Strong Python programming skills, including large-scale data processing, time-series analysis, and model development. 
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, and deep learning technologies. 
  • Experience testing, validating, and deploying machine learning models. 
  • Proven ability to build scalable data pipelines using platforms such as Spark, Databricks, Azure ML, or AWS. 
  • Experience developing optimisation models in Python, including objective design and infeasibility analysis. 
  • Practical experience delivering end-to-end data solutions from data ingestion through cloud-based deployment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience modelling decentralised energy assets. 
  • Background in IT or Data Science consulting. 
  • Experience working with Azure cloud services. 
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps. 
  • Experience with visualisation solutions such as Streamlit.
