About the Client

Our client is a newly established company in Iași, founded by a top-tier team that previously built multi-billion-dollar businesses in the banking and payments sector, supported by the leading tech investors in Europe.

Their innovative platform provides small to medium businesses with the tools they need to receive payments faster, affordably, and more easily. Developed from the ground up for professional service firms, the platform intelligently manages payment request workflows and payment methods, so businesses no longer have to handle these processes themselves.

The Role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (80% of the time);
  • Participate in front-end development tasks using React (20% of the time);
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the platform by writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code;
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery;
  • Ensure great customer experience by taking the on-call shift rotation;
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and grow your skills (tech and soft) super fast, every week.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Java;
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles;
  • Proficiency in backend development with experience in building scalable and robust applications;
  • Ability to take full ownership from ideation to development, testing, release, and operations;
  • Experience with test automation;
  • Experience with front-end development using React is a plus;
  • Committed to long-term growth and learning.

Selection Process

  • Informational call with the Site Manager or the CTO - 30 minutes
  • Problem-solving interview; think of an easy-level Hacker Rank or LeetCode kind of problem - 1 hour
  • system design interview - 1 hour
  • Culture fit interview - 30 minutes
  • Informal discussion over a coffee with the team in their office
